Wildlife Crossings
Lower Bow Valley
will actively improve and enhance wildlife crossing opportunities for wildlife.
Wildlife crossing structures will be constructed east of Canmore, starting the process of improving wildlife mobility east of Banff National Park. The proposed crossings at Rundle Forebay and Dead Man's Flats will be completed and augmented with additional crossings, including ones tailored for the tiger salamander, whose recently discovered migration crosses the TransCanada Highway. This effort aims to provide sufficient crossing structures to facilitate natural wildlife mobility patterns from the front ranges of the Canadian Rockies to the continental divide.
